Phlebotomy - Phlebotomist I - 1st Shift at TalentBurst, an Inc 5000 company Job Title: Phlebotomist I Job #: 25-48573 Location: Commack, NY Duration: 2+ months Shift/Time Zone: Mon-Fri, 6am-2:30pm; every other Saturday, 7am-12pm Note: Must be able to use a straight needle and EMR computer Job Description The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) represents the face of the company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life?defining health decisions. Responsibilities Draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for lab testing following established practices and procedures. Has direct contact with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately. Demonstrates leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence, confidentiality and accuracy of patient information. Performs daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor. Maintains a safe and professional environment. Performs forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties with confidence following established practices and procedures. Maintains required records and documentation. Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public. Requirements Ability to provide quality, error?free work in a fast?paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal on?site supervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric. Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on?call and overtime. Training locations may vary based on trainers availability. Required Education High school diploma or equivalent (required). Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington). Work Experience Minimum of 6 months experience (required). One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred. Customer service in a preferred retail or service environment. Keyboard/data entry experience essential. #J-18808-Ljbffr
