Location: Richmond, VA Position Type: Locum to Perm Physician Invasive Cardiology Overview Locum to Perm Invasive Cardiology opportunity providing inpatient, outpatient, clinic, and call coverage. This position is to support an existing cardiologist during ongoing recruitment and will transition to a permanent role once onboarded. Practice Highlights • Inpatient, outpatient, clinic, and call responsibilities • Call ratio: 1:6 • Average clinic volume: 10 patients per day • Average inpatient admissions: per physician per day • Adult and geriatric patient population • Supervision of 4 Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) required • Collaborative cardiology team environment • Epic EMR Coverage Details • Start date: ASAP • Duration: Until permanent physician is onboarded • Full-time coverage required (Monday Friday + call) • Estimated credentialing timeframe: 120 days • Local providers only (travel limited to mileage reimbursement) Procedures • Electrocardiograms (EKGs) • No invasive procedures required Candidate Requirements • Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Certified REQUIRED • Advanced Heart Failure (AHF) Fellowship with LVAD experience REQUIRED • ACLS REQUIRED • Active Virginia medical license REQUIRED • DEA REQUIRED • Must be local to Richmond, VA REQUIRED • Clean background (temps may be offered) REQUIRED Position Type • Locum to Perm • Permanent placement following successful locum coverage How to Apply Qualified cardiologists who meet all required criteria and are available ASAP are encouraged to apply for immediate consideration.
