The eCommerce Associate role within the Distribution Center ("DC") at OSJL ensures timely, accurate, and efficient processing of customer outbound and return orders within the OSJL's DC. This role also supports inventory control activities like cycle counting and bin moves using a radio frequency ("RF") scanner, adhering to established safety, quality, and productivity standards. Key Responsibilities: Picking, sorting, and packing: Physically select customer orders (i.e., zone, reserve, and split reserve), consolidate orders onto pallets, and pack merchandise into appropriate boxes or bags. Ensure all goods are scanned to the order and staged by store for on-time delivery. Maintain and track customer order and in-store dates to ensure customer orders are received in a timely fashion. Inventory control: Support inventory management through cycle counts, verifying bin locations and stock keeping units ("SKU"), and assisting with team lifts for heavy items. Returns processing: Play a key part in the Buy Online Ship to Store Return To Warehouse process, validating returned merchandise condition and processing them for restocking or damage disposal. Quality and efficiency: Ensure order accuracy by inspecting both picked items and returned goods against customer orders, escalating any discrepancies (i.e., SKU mislabeling, damaged goods) to leadership. Validate that the orders are picked properly and that the goods are in pristine condition. Warehouse operations: Efficiently utilize DC equipment, including, but not limited to, stockpiler, pallet jack, pump jack, to support picking, sorting, and staging processes. Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work environment, adhering to all standard operating procedures and OSHA requirements. Maintain Equipment: Inspect and sign out equipment daily. Performance: Meet or exceed area safety, quality, and productivity standards. Qualifications: Attention to detail and results oriented. Ability to learn to use a RF scanner. Ability to operate powered industrial equipment and obtain any applicable license. Ability to meet area productivity, quality, safety, housekeeping, and attendance standards. Basic math and English reading skills, legible handwriting, and good verbal and written communication skills; bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. Work Environment: Work primarily in a distribution center environment. Must be able to remain stationary and/or continually move for up to 10 - 12 hours per day. Responsible for physical activities including using equipment, positioning self to properly complete tasks, ascending and descending to heights of 20 feet or more, moving and transporting merchandise on a frequent basis; should be able to lift and move 50 lbs of material on a regular basis. The warehouse environment is characterized by temperature extremes, noise, movement of conveyors and equipment, and other conditions associated with the operation of a high volume distribution center.
