Job Description

Ensures that all demographic and insurance information is registered in an accurate and timely manner. Prepares and coordinates the distribution of patient information to nursing units and ancillary departments. Ensures patients are pre-registered prior to their service date in an accurate and timely manner. Monitors scheduling programs for patient appointments. Collects patient co-payments. Works side by side with the clinical team in the emergency room setting.

Required qualifications:
  • Clerical and in person professional customer service experience, preference being in a health care setting.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Keyboarding proficiency (40 wpm)
  • Experience in computer data entry
  • Experience with medical terminology

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

About the Team

Providence has been serving the Pacific Northwest since 1856 when Mother Joseph and four other Sisters of Providence arrived in Vancouver, Washington Territory.
