UJET is searching for Software Developers II to join our growing Engineering team The ideal candidate is a software engineer who has experience shipping products and is meticulous with code style and quality, with the ability to own end-to-end architecture. Responsibilities Reporting to the Manager, Engineering, design and development of the company’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) applications by analyzing corporate needs and generating business statistics embedded in software applications by plugging data into algorithms. Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders on end-to-end technical software design process for software engineers and liaise with program and product managers. Translate business objectives into full-stack technical requirements to be implemented by frontend and backend software engineers. Integrate 3rd-party vendor software for SaaS customers ranging from start-ups to enterprises by architecting RESTful APIs in AWS Cloud and using SQL to design data models for efficient databases. Serve as a technical point of contact with UJET’s software vendors on clients’ integration projects, and create front-end code for CRMs (Customer Relationship Management). Analyze and refactor code to increase software performance with features ensuring high availability, low latency, and auto scalability. Gather technical requirements, apply synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, and deliver frontend and backend software products inside architectural framework with speed and quality. Requirements Associate’s degree in Software Development, Statistics, Data Analytics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field. 36 months experience in the job offered or as Software Developer, Web Developer, or a related field. 12 months related experience participating in the end-to-end technical software design process, translating business objectives into full-stack technical requirements; generating business statistics by plugging data into algorithms; and working on frontend and backend software in architectural framework. Demonstrable experience integrating 3rd-party vendor software for SaaS customers ranging from start-ups to enterprises; using Angular JS and VueJS. As this is a customer facing position, the candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills and is able to work with customers and partners with varying technical aptitudes. Excellent communication skills – written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal. Must be a collaborative team player, providing constant positive support and assistance to teammates and co-workers.
