As an assistant food service director, you will have the opportunity to assist with overseeing all culinary, safety and sanitation, and operations functions for the account. **What you'll be doing:** + Recruiting, training, and retaining a large staffing team, including chefs, cashiers, baristas, cooks, and catering teams. + Ensuring that the operation delivers high quality food and friendly service. + Ensuring that the business runs in a professional, efficient, and profitable manner. + Demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills with all employees. **What we're looking for:** _Must-haves:_ + High school diploma or equivalent. + At least two years’ experience in a supervisory role. + At least two years’ foodservice experience. + Proven track record of financial responsibility. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Strong customer service skills. _Nice-to-haves:_ + ServSafe Manager certification. + Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree. **Pay:** $42,000/year **Our Benefits:** + Medical (FT Employees) + Dental + Vision + Voluntary UNUM offering for Accident, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity + Discount Program + Commuter Benefits (Parking and Transit) + EAP + 401k + Sick Time + Holiday Pay (9 paid holidays) + Tuition Reimbursement (FT Employees) + Paid Time Off \#LI-ST1 \#indeedelior **About Summit:** Focused on serving correctional institutions, Summit ensures that incarcerated people across the United States have access to delicious, healthy food at each meal.
