The Tax Senior will participate in training and developing staff and building a team-centered client service team.

Tax Senior Duties & Responsibilities -Prepare responses to tax authority notices and inquiries -Gather all relevant tax and financial information during the year for quarterly estimates, extensions, and tax returns -Monitor and make recommendations regarding tax planning -Recommend structures for business liability and tax planning purposes -Prepare provision work papers -Roll forward of many different tax schedules from year to year -Some transfer pricing tax preparation -Review returns prepared by junior accountants for accuracy and completion -Assist with federal and state tax audits -Respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies -Perform tax research, staying up to date on changes

Tax Senior Requirements and Qualifications -Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field -Master's degree a plus -A CPA license is strongly preferred -Tax preparation experience (2+ years preferred) -Proficiency with computerized tax software and MS Office -Great verbal and written communication skills -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills -Ability to work independently and as part of a team
