  • Department: Interventional Radiology
  • Shift Timings: 07:00 - 17:00 Monday to friday (40 hours per week)
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations.
  • Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images.
  • Positioning patients and equipment, explaining the procedures, and ensuring patients' comfort.
  • Inserting commands and data into the computer to document and specify the scan sequences, and monitoring the video display to adjust the density or contrast.
  • Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety, and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
  • Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to the Physician, and updating patients' records.
  • Organizing the daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitoring radiographic supplies.
  • Performing administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice.
  • Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • WI License; Call: based on needs of the department but usually 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month (every 3rd weekend); Holidays: rotating with regular staff; Experience in Interventional Radiology Department required
  • Experience in Nuero IR a plus
  • May need to float to sites within 40 miles if needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BLS and ACLS
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH)
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Requires a minimum of two years of current Interventional Radiology Tech experience.
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Tech program
  • Active unencumbered Radiology Tech Wisconsin state license
  • One year of Epic experience
