**Job Description** : Indorama Oxides and Derivatives, Inc. is looking for a Production Engineer EO/EG to join our team in Clear Lake. This position will play a critical role in the success of the Ethylene Oxide and Glycol production units. The successful candidate will provide leadership and innovation to ensure that the units are run safely, efficiently and in compliance with environmental permits. The successful candidate will also communicate with various levels of the organization to ensure targets are met and daily activities are managed properly. **What will be expected of you?** + Provide day to day engineering support to operations. + Optimize throughput, yield, and efficiency of the process through daily analysis and recommendations. + Troubleshoot quality excursions and process upsets and implement solutions to drive improvements. + Support Management of Change (MOC) and Pre-Startup Safety Review (PSSR) processes as needed to ensure safety of process changes. + Track and enter asset capability (OEE) data for the production units. + Lead incident investigations and RCFAs. + Develop and implement process improvements or capital improvements to drive long-term success of the operating units. + Perform end of month financial/reporting/closing duties for EO/EG Glycol products. + Provide input to the budget and capital planning process. + Participate in plant sponsored safety processes – compete weekly field safety observations. + Promote and support Indorama core values. + Ensure that the activities are carried out to comply with the integrated management system, as applicable (safety, food safety, GMP, health, environmental, quality and responsible care requirements). + Essential functions require presence in the workplace on a regular basis and an ability to work extra hours if needed. If applicable, ability to work overtime may be needed to ensure required staffing capacity to meet daily production objectives. + Work collaboratively with team members with different backgrounds and perspectives. + Assists other employees in accomplishments of Indorama company goals. Follows instructions and performs other duties as may be assigned by supervisor. + Participates in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives as set forth by the company. Participates in and completes company required training programs. **What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?** + BS Chemical Engineering **REQUIRED.** + 2 years minimum in Production/Process Engineer experience in a EO chemical manufacturing or refinery setting is **PREFERRED.** + MUST HAVE or be able to obtain TWIC card. + Should be proficient with Internet, Email and Microsoft Office programs. + Strong computer skills, including process simulation tools such as Aspen. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization. + Able to manage multiple priorities. + Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. + Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop engineering solutions. **What can we offer you?** Indorama Ventures Oxides & Derivatives is a leading chemical intermediates and surfactants producer with a diverse range of products in growth markets such as home & personal care, agrochemicals, oilfield technologies, fuel & lube additives and more.
