A Day in the Life

Medtronic is currently searching for a

Principal Process Engineer

to join our growing team. In this exciting role in the Billerica facility, you will have responsibility for supporting the manufacturing of high-quality and complex catheters to support the Cardiac Ablation Solutions Business.

As the Principal Process Engineer, you will:

Provide technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area.

Recommend and implement equipment and process modifications to meet quality standards and improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques as well as production yields for existing products.

Integrate equipment and material capabilities to meet process module target specifications and technology target specifications.

Review product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules.

Interact with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.

May develop and conduct statistical analysis or recommend additions to document work.

Lead the innovation, development and/or optimization of new manufacturing concepts, processes and procedures for transfer to manufacturing operations.

This can include scouting and feasibility work, material selection, process and equipment selection, tooling / fixture and equipment installation and assessment of inputs, outputs and alignment to requirements.

Develop manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques including the measurement systems.

Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.

Create, manage, and lead projects as assigned.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree required with a minimum of 7 years of process engineering experience OR advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years process engineering experience

Nice-to-Haves 5 years of medical device experience Fixture and tooling experience Experience leading complex projects Start up experience Lean Six Sigma certification Design for Reliability and Manufacturability (DRM) experience IQ, OQ, and PQ experience Validation/Test Method Validation experience
