Purchasing Internship

Overview:

East Penn has an Purchasing Internship opportunity available in our Corporate Procurement department.

• Full-time 40 hours per week during the summer (May-August), flexible schedule, and hourly pay.
• Work is project-oriented and upon completion of the internship, the student may present a project to East Penn team.
• Project work based on needs of department as well as skill set/major.

• Data review and analytics (file cleanup and integrity)

• • Item Master clean up, obsolescence, lead times and pricing
• Manage PO Date Maintenance, contact vendors and communicate internally with stakeholders to improve delivery performance and flow of information
• Assist group of buyers in support of projects
  • Spend analysis, quoting, maintaining inbound documentation
• Run reports via MSR or Glovia where applicable, consolidating data as necessary
• Writing and testing work instructions
• Take meeting minutes as necessary
• Work closely with Accounts Payable to:
  • Process and voucher invoices, run applicable reports, validate batch information, etc.

Junior or Senior in College

Business, Supply Chain/Logistics, or related major

Good communication skills

Good computer Skills
