How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Air Liquide Advanced Materials is actively seeking a Quality Systems Manager, reporting into the Global Quality Engineering Director. The Quality Systems Manager will have a primary focus on quality process improvement solutions within the highly integrated platform of SAP, LIMS and NWA. The individual will lead and direct activities in the Quality area while working cross functionally with other Process excellence leaders, plant personnel and the product team. This individual will participate in developing the Quality Digital Strategy and Roadmap for quality and lead the implementation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Partner and influence to set strategy for key process and system improvements to better enable ALAM to better achieve critical quality goals. Leverage multiple tools and analytic resources to gain insight into areas for improvement and efficiencies.
  • Conducts internal process benchmarking in partnership with process stakeholders to identify best-in-class solutions as well as areas to enhance performance, efficiency and productivity.
  • Identifies opportunities to better align quality processes with the overall quality strategy.
  • Define and establish data-driven product specifications and process control limits in collaboration with Product Management and Sales teams. Implement product specifications, control limits, and change notification requirements via ALAM's quality systems.
  • Manages a team of quality systems specialists responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement, of ALAM's quality systems
  • Ability to adapt and quickly identify solutions within the ALAM system platform to meet customer certification requirements while maintaining a fit to standard approach and not increasing documentation risks.
  • Works cohesively with the site operations teams to identify inefficiencies in the quality systems and implementing system streamlined solutions to reduce delays and quality risks
  • Define goals for team members, balancing strategic and tactical needs, providing effective coaching to achieve successful completion of these goals.
  • Successfully complete all required training.

  • Bachelor's degree/Four-year college degree from an accredited institution
  • 10 + years of manufacturing or quality based experience including business process improvement
  • Systematic problem solver focused on implementing solutions based to solve root cause problems.
  • Experience successfully leveraging business data to identify decisions
  • Comfortable with out of the box thinking and challenging status quo
  • Strong ability to partner across a complex, matrixed organization and influence outcomes at all levels
  • Ability to communicate concisely and effectively in written and verbal formats with customers, stakeholders at multiple levels in the business
