This position requires a creative and analytical mind with history and knowledge of cutting-edge manufacturing concepts, along with a deep understanding of current manufacturing paradigms. Although this role has no direct reports, you will lead the organization through your ideas and create strong networks of key individuals to see your ideas implemented. The role will report to the VP of Manufacturing. You will work closely with the SVP of Engineering and SVP of Design & Brand in the Design Studio. The location is Newark, California.

The Role: Innovation : Create an innovation pipeline for new production approaches at Lucid. Contribute personally by devising fresh and innovative technology concepts. Guidelines:

Create a manual of engineering fundamentals for advanced engineering design, in so far as it supports more efficient and advanced manufacturing concepts in future. This is not the same as DFM or DFA which describe specific solutions, but rather a manual of how certain fundamental engineering principles could unlock future production possibilities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. 10+ years’ experience in the automotive industry. Deep knowledge of advanced materials and manufacturing techniques. Patents and awards in disruptive production technology. Knowledge of electric vehicles and their unique requirements. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp .
