Position Summary: QC Process Engineer will ensure product quality especially the Paint Line, Paint Mixing, Offline Paint, Color Mixing, Forming Line and Offline Cutting. Commits to keeping better quality by coming up with new ideas and equipment. Daily analysis and troubleshooting. Stay on top of our production lines and products. Find defects and make corrections immediately. Devise and implement a quality improvement plan for the mid-to-long-term. Solve all quality issues and report them with a data driven approach.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAcquires knowledge of production lines and product flow in Paint Line, Paint Mixing, Offline Paint and Color Mixing, Forming Line and Offline CuttingAcquires knowledge of product defects and the root causeAcquires knowledge of calculating pass ratesInspects production line and corrects if there are any defectsInspects and approve QC and production paperworkAssists with periodic physical inventory auditsAssist with QC production trialsMaintains QC suppliesMaintains QC test instrumentsInnovate new technology, equipment, test methods based on data results. Discuss with Production and/or Maintenance team providing SOP and trainingTrains other QC team members and operatorsAbility to operate a forkliftPrepares SOPsReports quality issues to QC ManagerOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Science or Engineering preferred but Associates degree and/or equivalent years of experienceProven track record in quality improvementManufacturing experience preferred. Preferably in the paint industryExperience of R&D in QC or QA in paint manufacturing is preferredExperience in paint line or coating process in manufacturing plant such as machinery, equipment, material or construction manufacturerExperience with color measurement instrumentsTrainer experience a plusQuality control and/or quality assurance experience is strongly preferredKnowledge of basic math skillsKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is a mustKnowledge of cost accounting, invest planning and feasibility studyExperience of wet and dry film thicknessExperience of paint color matchingExperience of monitors observations of the correct coding cyclesExperience of the correct color-coding and paintingExperience of visual inspectionsExperience of adhesion testing
