Summary of Position ASTM's Wohlers Associates division delivers technical, market, and strategic advisory services focused on new developments and trends in rapid product development and additive manufacturing (AM). For 29 years, the Wohlers Report has been the undisputed, leading industry publication on 3D printing. We are currently seeking a dynamic Communications and Outreach Manager to join our team. This role, under the umbrella of ASTM International's Advanced Manufacturing Programs Division, demands an adaptive and independent individual. The responsibilities of this pivotal role include, but are not limited to:
Crafting and refining market intelligence content, including the Wohlers Report, advisory services deliverables, social media, our website, and various technical publications.
Ensuring all content aligns with our established writing standards and styles.
Generating engaging blog posts, social media content, sections for the Wohlers Report, and news stories about AM.
Collaborating with associates/contributors to align communication content with our strategic goals and objectives.
Identifying and leveraging communication opportunities on social and professional media platforms, as well as relevant websites and online/offline magazines, for publishing videos and written content.
Utilizing internal communication channels effectively to achieve outreach objectives.
Expanding ASTM's global presence in the AM community and beyond through various platforms and avenues.
Providing customer support, including but not limited to, fulfilling online orders, responding to inquiries about reports and events, managing copyrights, and handling additional tasks as needed.
Overseeing the maintenance and monitoring of various websites, marketing tools, and platforms.
Offering comprehensive support in the planning, execution, communication, and project management of AM activities.
Minimum Qualifications * A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of communications, marketing, or business, accompanied by a minimum of three years' experience in communications content creation or marketing and editing. * Superior communication and writing abilities, coupled with a passion for technical material and the editorial process. * Adeptness in collaborating with a varied team, including staff, large number of contributors, and external experts. * Proven capability to manage and deliver content in a dynamic setting. * A dependable and autonomous professional who thrives on adaptability and flexibility. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams, OneNote, OneDrive) and website maintenance tools, notably WordPress. * A commitment to confidentiality and the integrity of sensitive organizational information. * Stellar organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving. * Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time, juggle multiple tasks, and prioritize responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications * Over five years of content editing and creation experience, preferably within technical fields. * A solid track record in managing comprehensive communications tasks, from coordination to execution. * Advanced IT proficiency and mastery of Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint. * Familiarity with CRM platforms like Salesforce and project management tools, and an ability to swiftly grasp and employ new software tools. * Skill in data analytics and the creation of visual content. * Experience in generating and managing content for social media platforms. * A strong interest in acquiring new content analysis and development technologies. * Enhanced abilities in website management and a track record of maintaining high-traffic sites. * A fast learner with a proactive professional approach, capable of understanding and supporting organizational functions and events. * Exceptional time management skills and an established history of contributing to a well-organized work environment.
