Marciano Specialist

Reports To: Store Manager

Position Overview

The Marciano Specialist is responsible for overseeing the customer experience and satisfaction with the sales generation within the Marciano department, training, and development of the store staff on production information and Marciano selling skills, leading by example on the selling floor and maintaining the store standards on the selling floor and stockroom. The Marciano Specialist is accountable for all Marciano related business issues including department quantifiable results.

Customer Experience

-Ensures customer satisfaction in the Marciano area by effectively training team members of product knowledge, Marciano selling skills and follow up expectations.

-Determines customer needs and suggest additional merchandise to meet needs.

- Communicates production information to each customer as needed. Keeps current on fashion trends, footwear construction and care of merchandise.

- Maintain daily awareness of merchandise in stock, current ad campaigns and promotions.

- Closes each sale by reinforcing the customer's purchase and introducing the customer to the desk/sales associate responsible for completing the sale.

- Promptly follows up on all special orders and special service requests.

- Telephones personal clients daily to generate business.

- Maintains all visual merchandising standards, directives, promotions, and overall cleanliness and organization of the sales floor and stockroom.

People Development

- Lead by example by training, developing, and providing ongoing feedback and coaching on product knowledge, selling skills, visual merchandising and delivering the customer experience per company guidelines.

Cooperation + Dependability

- Satisfactorily completes all duties as assigned by management

- Is punctual and adheres to designated work schedule

- Is flexible and works well with peers and management to accomplish duties

- Follows GUESS Policies and Procedures 100%

Drive Sales + Profitability

- Meet or exceed profitability expectations for the store in sales, shrink and conversion

Operational Effectiveness

- Control company assets by meeting all loss prevention measures

Job Requirements

- Participates in and attends all store meetings and other related functions

- Represents a positive attitude toward the merchandise and the company

- High school education or equivalent preferred

- Some heavy lifting in excess of 30 pounds

- Scheduled shifts may require standing for a minimum of eight hours
