1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicants Airswift is working in partnership with an energy startup company seeking a Electrical Engineering Project Manager for a permanent role in Houston, TX to support the planning and execution of electrical engineering-related projects for the development of ammonia-to-electricity power technology. Responsibilities Own project delivery: Plan, coordinate, and execute electrical engineering workstreams for new system development and integration projects. Drive schedules & milestones: Develop detailed project timelines, track deliverables, and communicate status and risks to stakeholders. Lead cross-functional execution: Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers to align priorities and maintain technical quality. Develop specifications: Collaborate with internal and external partners to define electrical, instrumentation, and control system requirements that meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards. Guide documentation: Support creation of I/O lists, wiring schematics, panel layouts, and other electrical design documents. Coordinate vendors: Manage relationships with suppliers and fabrication shops for panel builds, FAT/SAT testing, and component qualification. Support testing & commissioning: Validate low- and high-voltage systems and PLC control panels through hands-on testing and troubleshooting. Ensure compliance: Execute test plans and ensure all designs meet applicable codes and standards (NEC, IEC, ANSI, etc.). Required Qualifications B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Experience in electrical engineering and/or technical project management, ideally in industrial automation, power systems or chemical process control environments. Demonstrated experience managing electrical or controls engineering projects, including scope, schedule, and deliverable control. Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, BigPicture). Hands?on experience developing electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate across technical and non?technical teams. Experience working with energy conversion systems (fuel cells, engines, turbines, reactors, etc.). Working knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems, configuring PLC IO modules, and testing and troubleshooting PLC?based electrical and control systems. Working knowledge of SCADA system and common field bus communication protocols (CANBUS, J1939, PROFINET, EtherCAT, ModBus, etc.).
