Optivision Solutions Architect Miamisburg Ohio or Remote

Our company is undertaking a major global multi-year redesign of our ERP/MES systems and associated Order to Cash business processes.

The Solutions Architect will play a key role in analyzing and recommending strategic and tactical solutions to meet the new business and technical requirements.

The Optivision Solutions Architect will proactively and holistically lead and support architecture activities that guide the development, optimization, and management of the Honeywell Optivision system and its supporting solutions.

The Solutions Architect provides the necessary leadership, analysis, and design capabilities needed to support the development of Optivision technology solutions that meet business requirements and align with architectural governance and standards.

The Solutions Architect will work closely with the business groups, business analysts, IT support teams, and vendors as need to facilitate desired outcomes.

In addition, the architect is responsible for creating strategic and tactical roadmaps for the Optivision solution.

Key Accountabilities:

_ _Interpret Business Needs

Translates business and technical requirements into an Optivision architectural configuration blueprint to achieve business objectives and documents all solution architecture design and analysis work

Works closely with the IT Optivision Team to ensure a robust architectural runway that can support future business requirements throughout the product lifecycle

Understands business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) and determines corresponding Optivision solution designs and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes

Assess Technology

Monitors the current-state Optivision solution portfolio to identify deficiencies through aging of the technologies used by the application, or misalignment with business requirements

Supports IT Optivision Team in end-of-life product decisions to maintain, refresh or retire services, or systems, including applications, technologies, processes, and information

Understands emerging technology trends in the Optitvision landscape and their practical application to enable new and evolving business

Analyzes the technology industry, competitors, and market trends, and determines their potential implications for the Optivision related portfolio

Analyzes non-Optivision business systems and their interaction with Optivision to detect critical deficiencies. Assist in management of those systems as part of the overall solution portfolio

Facilitates the evaluation and selection of Optivision related software product standards and services, as well as the design of standard and custom software configurations

Strives to use Optivision standard configuration rather than customized solutions

Apply Technology

Leads evaluation, design and analysis for the implementation of Optivision related solutions based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities, value-streams, business requirements and enterprise standards

Develops a roadmap for the evolution of the Optivision solution portfolio from current to future state

Acts as a consultant on a broad range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes

Provides consulting support to project teams to ensure the project or product is aligned with the overall enterprise architecture

Develops application test case scenarios for use during system testing and validation

Provide Enterprise Guidance

Provides deliverables like standards definitions, reference models and architecture designs to support architectural governance to assess the impact of new and ongoing technology investment on the business and IT

Designs and directs the governance activities associated with ensuring Optivision solutions architecture assurance and compliance

Defines the principles, guidelines, standards, and solution patterns to ensure solution decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision

General

Research, analyze, and suggest solutions for basic and complex issues surrounding business processes and systems

Collaborate with other business and IT teams as needed to provide architectural input

Perform all duties according to company policies and safety rules

Perform other duties as necessary

Required Skills

Minimum Required Skills:

Current Optivision R600 configuration experience and experience with Order to Cash process

Extensive knowledge of Optivision implementation methods with multiple environments

Excellent analytical, planning, organizational and technical skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excels in team environment, with the ability to work independently

Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task while handling large workloads

Strong understanding of application development methodologies and infrastructure and network architecture

Preferred Skills:

Forest Products Industry Experience

Ability to work with developers in an outsourced environment

Understanding of IT standards and controls

Knowledge of financial models and budgeting

Required Experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information-technology, engineering, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience

15+ years experience with Optivision solutions and/or architecture

Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments

Good understanding of strategic and emerging Optivision technology trends, and their practical application

Experience implementing technical Optivision configuration

Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps

Experience delivering presentations to senior-level executives and technical audiences

Experience working in manufacturing industry
