We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Marketing to lead and oversee the marketing and communication strategies for The Highland Group and its affiliated entities, including Alliant Construction. This pivotal role will be responsible for shaping and driving the strategic vision of our company's position in the marketplace. As a self-reliant leader and integral part of our senior management team, the Director of Marketing will oversee all marketing activities, ensuring the consistent communication of our brand's value proposition across all platforms and touchpoints. Job Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and execute Highland’s marketing and communication strategy. Maintain and continuously update company marketing materials including websites, social media platforms, client-facing materials, press releases, and more. Assist in planning business development initiatives and representing the company at relevant events and platforms. Identify and vet marketing and sponsorship opportunities. Maintain client engagement and database and assist in identifying potential clients. Assist in procuring company-branded materials and merchandise. Manage all internal and external communications, including employee communications, public relations, and social media presence. Assist in creating and submitting project proposals and pre-qualification packages. Oversee external partners supporting Highland’s marketing and communications efforts. Design a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with Highland’s corporate goals and objectives. Consistently apply the brand across all campaigns and marketing activities. Develop and present monthly KPIs to optimize communication activities in line with marketing goals and objectives. Collaborate with different departments to build thought leadership, develop newsworthy content, and leverage our position for lead generation in sales and talent acquisition. Develop and manage news that advances Highland’s corporate narrative with our employees. Draft written materials, including executive pitches, bylines, video scripts, and presentations. Develop content for multiple channels, ensuring clear and consistent messaging across all platforms. Work closely with the CEO and/or Senior Management to develop customer-focused promotions, communication strategies, product presentations, and training initiatives. Create brand collateral, campaigns, and initiatives to promote business development and brand recognition (and/or collaborate with partners to develop when applicable). Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related fields, preferred. 5+ years of professional experience in a related field. Strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate business objectives into integrated communication strategies. Extensive knowledge of effective organizational communication strategies, techniques, and media. Proven ability to handle multiple competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines. Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media. Ability to convey complex, technical content in clear, concise, and compelling language. Willingness to accept challenges and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Demonstrated ability to innovate and collaborate in a team setting. Desire for continuous learning and improvement. High integrity, positive attitude, and alignment with Highland’s values and culture. Solid design skills with proficiency in graphic design software such as Canva and/or Adobe.

Proficient in all Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint. Familiarity with Dropbox and other cloud-based storage solutions. Ability to create engaging and visually appealing presentations and marketing materials. Comfortable using and navigating various social media platforms. This role requires a high level of content creation, proofing, and design skills, with a meticulous eye for detail to ensure the delivery of high-quality, error-free materials.
