**Description**

The Dietary Aide/Cook is responsible for preparing main menu items and various duties in the kitchen, including preparation of various portions of meals, presentation of food, and delivery of food in accordance with current regulation standards and the facilitys established policies and procedures.

TrustPoint is a state of the art hospital offering two specialty service lines; Acute Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Services and Behavioral Health Services for Adult and Seniors.

Behavioral Health at TrustPoint Hospital, we believe each patient is unique. That's why we focus on treating the whole person not just the illness. Offering acute inpatient behavioral health services for adults and seniors. ClearPath also offers intensive outpatient behavioral health services for adults.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

* Cook and prepare food according to approved menus.

* Direct activities of workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

* Clean and inspect equipment, kitchen appliances and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.

* Take inventory of supplies and equipment.

* Work with Food Service leadership or Dietitian to ensure menus are varied, nutritionally balanced and appetizing.

* Perform and coordinate food production, cleaning, maintenance, and inventory control activities.

* Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures, quality standards, cost parameters, and appropriate regulatory requirements.

**OTHER FUNCTIONS:**

* Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:**

* High school diploma or equivalent required.

* Additional education or training in the culinary field preferred.

* Two or more years experience in food service role in preparing food for institutions, such as school, hospital or cafeteria preferred.

**INCENTIVE PROGRAM:**

Retention Bonus - $500 paid out after 6 months of good standing
