This position will be responsible for supporting the different operations aspects of the Professional Liability Claims division with a focus on deductible and SIR tracking. This position will report to the Professional Liability Claims Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track the erosion of claim retentions and deductibles for the various Professional Liability Claims teams
  • Review invoices for application to the retention or deductible
  • Manage and respond to deductible and SIR related inquires that come into the Deductible Review Team email box
  • Compare Markel's invoice records to the firm's and/or insured's records to identify if there are any discrepancies and determine actions needed for reconciliation
  • Data entry and clean up
  • Work with other departments including Claims Operations, IT, Marketing and CVM on initiatives and projects that affect the Professional Liability Claims unit
  • Work on ad-hoc projects at the direction of the Professional Liability Claims Operations Manager, as required
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Work Experience
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Insurance industry experience preferred
