We are hiring a Nursing Scheduler to join our dynamic care team at Bayview Health Care in Waterford
Pay is around $25 an hour. Weekly pay.

In this role, your position is to ensure that staffing levels of the nursing department are maintained in accordance with the facility budget and protocol.
Education & Experience:
+ High school diploma or its equivalent preferred.
+ Prior experience in nurse staff scheduling required.
+ Minimum one (1) year experience in clerical. On-the-job training provided in scheduling and medical terminology.
+ Long-term care experience required.
+ Experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Organize, prioritize, and coordinate all nursing staff schedules.
+ Develop/utilize a master schedule at all times.
+ Post staffing schedule 2-4 weeks in advance, minimum.
+ Develop positive relationships with members of the nursing department.
+ Identify staffing problems, take initiative to resolve, communicate to DNS and/or Administrator.
+ Demonstrate correct safety techniques.
+ Respect and take care of facility equipment and not waste supplies.
+ Seek opportunities to fill open positions in a manner which limits overtime.
Specific Requirements:
+ Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
+ Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
+ Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the general public.
+ Must be able to type 50 words per minute and use a 10-key calculator.
+ Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, basic computer skills and mathematical ability.
+ Ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.
+ Ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.
+ Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices.
+ Be able to follow written and oral instructions.
+ Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents, staff based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
+ Is proficient in composition of written communication.
