**JOB DESCRIPTION**

* Strategic Buyer executes on relevant Procurement strategies, measures and activities in close cooperation with the Procurement Manager.

* The overall goal is to achieve the best total cost position for all external spend of the Kawneer Bloomsburg plant, the lowest sourcing risks, best supplier performances and ensuring highest efficiency and effectiveness of the Procurement team.

* This role ensures the optimal collaboration of plant Procurement with BU Procurement Engineering as well as with Global Category Management and Regional Procurement to achieve best procurement results.

* Executes on savings initiatives and initiates counter measures if necessary

* Communicates Supplier issues

* Participates in supplier meetings

* Responsible for all crib stock ordering and coordination with Production Control

* This person will work cross functionally with internal groups: Finance/Accounting, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering and Quality

* Other Job Duties as required

**Qualifications**

**Basis or Minimum Qualifications**

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

* Minimum of 2 years of experience in Supply Chain or Procurement

* Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Proven track record of negotiating large deals with high levels of complexity

* 4 years of experience in Supply Chain or Procurement

* Prior experience utilizing and managing Request for Quotations with sourcing

* Experience using an ERP system

* Intermediate to advanced level in Microsoft Excel
