Biomedical Technician

Senior Biomedical Technician maintains clinical equipment through the effective use of the Medical Equipment Management Program and Health business standards. Performs a variety of routine tasks associated with the installation, maintenance, calibration and repair of complex biomedical equipment. The technician may participate in the evaluation and selection of new equipment, accessories and supplies. Coordinates special projects and performs technical tasks. The senior technician provides technical guidance to Biomedical Tech employees in the department. Adheres to instructions and corporate policies, and demonstrates professionalism with integrity in all interactions with customers and staff.Performs assigned duties in accordance with current policies and procedures, including scheduled maintenance, equipment inspection, installations, repairs, adjustments, calibrations and safety testing of less complex biomedical equipment such as infusion pumps. (20%) Performs basic administrative tasks associated with the position, including parts ordering, returns and email correspondence. Also work order control, maintenance history records and responding in a timely manner to issues logged in Cherwell. (20%) Participate in the evaluation and selection of new equipment, accessories and supplies. (20%) Coordinates special projects and performs technical tasks. (20%) Provides technical guidance to Biomedical Tech I employees in the department. (20%)
