In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting department. You will leverage your strong accounting skills to perform a variety of tasks, including:
- Maintaining the general ledger: This includes processing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring all financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Job costing functions: You will be responsible for accurately tracking project costs, analyzing variances, and providing valuable insights to improve profitability.
- Assisting with month-end close: You will work collaboratively with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient month-end closing process, meeting all deadlines.
- Preparing financial statements: The Senior Accountant will assist in preparing accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Analyzing financial data: You will leverage your analytical skills to identify trends, generate reports, and provide valuable financial insights to support informed decision-making.
- Internal controls: The Senior Accountant will contribute to maintaining strong internal controls by adhering to accounting best practices and identifying potential risks.
- Supporting the accounting team: You will collaborate effectively with other accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proven experience with general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.
