Description Position at Combs Veterinary Clinic Combs Veterinary Clinic, a progressive small 2-3 doctor animal clinic on the West side of Bloomington, IN, is looking for a Client Service Representative. At Combs Veterinary Clinic, our team is small, supportive, and collaborative. We embrace a collaborative approach and are excited to be able to add another CSR to our family. Being a CSR in a veterinary office takes a special kind of person who loves helping both humans and animals alike. You would be responsible for the first and last impression a client makes when visiting our clinic, and it is important that all clients feel welcome, safe, and comfortable. CSRs are invaluable members of our hospital team, and we treat them that way. Thrive in an environment that encourages learning and continued growth within the profession and become the bridge between pet owners and patient care Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Deliver exceptional customer service to pet owners in a polite and timely manner, both in person and over the phoneAdmit patients: ensuring that the patient is weighed, and all information is currentSchedule and confirm appointments, record keeping, and organization, and provide estimates and invoices for paymentProcess financial transactions accuratelyRespond with compassion and empathy in stressful and emotional situationsMaintain a clean, stocked lobby and front office areaEducate clients on wellness plans, food, and products sold in the waiting roomCommunicate effectively and efficiently with the Nursing and Vet TeamPerform opening and closing procedures, end-of-day reports, and depositsData Entry: records, client questionnaires, referral information, etc.Distribute mailEnsure that referral letters and lab results go to the corresponding veterinariansOpportunities to learn Veterinary Assistant skills if desired Skills and Qualifications: One year minimum experience in a veterinary practice required; however candidates with human medical experience may be consideredMinimum two years of customer service experience required (retail, food and beverage, etc.)Familiarity with Avimark hospital software preferredComputer experience (email usage, word/excel) required for using front desk equipment (such as, fax machine, credit card machine, copy machine, and postage meter)Must possess basic math skills to determine proper deposits, make change, and process payments utilizing credit card and check terminalKnowledge of veterinary terminology, situational understanding and being able to communicate these situations with clients and the veterinary team successfully.Ability to determine the difference between an emergency and a routine office visitExcellent communication skills with clients and team membersProficient with time management, ability to problem solve, learn, and handle multiple tasksEnthusiastic team player with a patient, friendly, and positive professional attitudeMust be able to work seated for a majority of day Benefits and Perks: Short Term Disability paid for by employer Complimentary Life Insurance - $25,000; with options to purchase additional voluntary benefits for self or family Company-Sponsored Employee Assistance Program (Headspace)401K with 100% company match up to 3% and 50% company match up to 5%, eligible after 6 months of employmentKaiser/UMR Insurance Plans with multiple optionsFlexible Spending Account or Health Savings Account options United Healthcare Dental Insurance; includes a 100% paid premium option for team membersUnited Healthcare Vision Insurance optionsLong Term Disability optionProgyny-Fertility and Family Building Support (up to $10,000)Team Member Discounts for Pet CarePaid time off-inclusive of sick, personal, and vacationLGBTQIA+ support with FOLX HEALTHCARE (if UMR enrolled)Sword Digital Musculoskeletal & Physical Therapy Program (if UMR enrolled)Referral Bonus ProgramDailyPay on DemandWe are a proud United Veterinary Care Partner hospital.
