Job Location: Brookshire, Texas, United States | Fulshear, Texas, United States | Katy, Texas, United States Contract Type: Full-Time Employment Type: Regular Grundfos CBS Inc. is seeking an experienced Demand Planner to join its Supply Chain team. The Planner will be responsible for the scheduling of appropriate Production activities, analyzing, evaluating, and calculating optimum inventory control elements, maintaining Stock Transport Orders between the branches, and acting as the primary Sales and branch interface. This position reports directly to the Supply Planning Supervisor and will operate daily out of the Brookshire, Texas facility. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support. Your main responsibilities: Actively participate in cross-functional meetings and collaborate with departments such as sales/Customer Service, procurement, production & engineering to coordinate activities, track order status, and resolve any issues that may arise during production. Provide support during meetings by offering insights, recommendations, and updates on production planning activities and progress. Provide meeting summaries, action plans, and progress updates to relevant stakeholders to facilitate decision-making and ensure orders to ship on time. Follow-up as required with Supply planner team to expedite material shortages and CSU to explore alternative options to meet on-time delivery of production schedule and customer expectation. Interact with shop floor management on a daily basis to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or to provide additional information as requested from production & customer Service Promptly informing the relevant Customer service team of changes to current production schedules. Maintaining accurate records and documentation of production schedules, resource allocation, and inventory levels. Analyze and determine optimal reorder points, manage safety stock, and minimize excess inventory carrying costs. Generate status reports and conduct data analysis to review production progress, work in process, and inventory levels. Monitor metrics to ensure achievement of departmental/company goals related to on-time delivery and production scheduling performance. Confer with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; inventory levels and solving production problems. Must have experience in SAP for production planning and inventory management. Continually review and analyze production processes and Inventory levels to identify areas for improvement. Your background We imagine that you have: A Bachelor’s degree is preferred with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a production control environment or 5+ years’ experience in inventory control, machine scheduling required. Professional Certificate such as APICS/CPIM recommended Knowledge of closed-loop manufacturing principles and MRP theory. Analytical aptitude: ability to mathematically and statistically analyze and interpret data. Understanding/Familiarity with Lean manufacturing concepts. High knowledge of SAP. High-level knowledge of MS Excel. What’s in it for you?
