Local manufacturing company located in Mentor, OH is currently searching for an IT Manager to plan, direct and manages the IT resources of the company to ensure the development and implementation of cost-effective systems and efficient computer operations to meet current and future company requirements. The IT Manager provides company-wide direction in areas of policy and planning for networking and related functions and trains the organization in their use.

Provides network and systems counseling and guidance to company personnel.

Manage third party consultants, developers, IT resources, and project team resources

Responsible for creating project plans, schedule and project timeline.

Plans and controls internal and external resources, hardware acquisitions, and facilities to ensure that they are consistent with the business plan of the company

Directs the design, development, and maintenance of network systems and systems software into a total business system to meet the company's information needs, and trains the organization in use

Establishes IT policies, standards, practices and security measures to ensure effective and consistent information processing operations and to safeguard information resources

Administers the IT expense budget within budgetary guidelines to contribute to cost-effective operation of the company

Selects, trains, and motivates qualified internal/external resources to effectively carry out the companys IT functions and provide for the continuity of managerial and technical skills

Maintains knowledge of developments in the area of systems and hardware and incorporates new developments into the future systems of the company.

Develops programs and hardware systems and trains the staff to ensure a cost-effective and current information system

Professionally represent the company with customers, investors, and business partners

Practice good housekeeping and safety habits, supports and follows company policies and procedures, and performs other duties as assigned

Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Experience in assisting in the management of ERP system projects.

2 years of supervisory experience

Bachelors Degree in computer science or a related field

5 or more years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment

Good understanding of current network and application trends

Ability to analyze information related to computer technology to assist in directing company management in the selection of software and hardware to meet the needs of the organization

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Excellent training skills

Ability to exercise strong judgment in analyzing, appraising, evaluating and solving problems of a difficult procedural, organizational, administrative or technical nature
