We are looking for talented Backend Software Engineers to join as core members of our founding engineering team, where your contributions will significantly shape our architecture and key technical decisions. The MOXFIVE founding team brings over 30 years of combined cybersecurity experience from leading companies such as CrowdStrike, Mandiant, Palo Alto Networks, Crypsis, Illumio, and Expel. This role requires a balance of technical skill, customer empathy, and initiative. Were building the first AI-powered incident response platform designed to help customers recover quickly and restore business operations with confidence. What Youll Bring Education : Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent experience (Masters is a plus) Experience : 3+ years designing and building distributed, scalable systems in production environments Languages : Proficient in Go and Python, with a strong focus on practical experience in real-world applications Databases : Experience with databases across multiple paradigms : MongoDB (NoSQL / document-oriented), Redis (NoSQL / in-memory key-value), and relational databases including MySQL and PostgreSQL API Integration : Expertise designing and consuming REST APIs and gRPC services AI / LLM : Experience integrating and deploying Large Language Modelbased solutions (e.g., OpenAI, Google Gemini, AWS Bedrock), including building and consuming APIs for prompt handling, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation Cloud : Strong experience with AWS, including EKS and infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, with a need for greater involvement in broader architectural decision-making and hands?on implementation Service Deployment : Hands?on experience deploying containerized services on Kubernetes, particularly with Envoy Gateway and Linkerd service mesh Workflow Orchestration : Experience with Temporal or related workflow execution platforms is valued; however, we also seek candidates enthusiastic about learning and using Temporal Disclaimer All official MOXFIVE communications will only come from an @moxfive.com email address.
