Job Responsibilities

The Project Manager is expected to:

Serve as the primary contact between customer and internal stakeholders during the design, manufacture, start-up and commissioning of lithium battery and other large projects. The large projects are organized outside the standard process, and therefore require a non-traditional approach to project management. The ability to work in a fluid environment, using common sense, good judgement and patience will be key to success. The role requires interface with many disciplines at all levels
Gain a comprehension of customer design requirements through the review of specifications, drawings and customer interface. With this knowledge, create and execute project work plans and revise (as appropriate) to changing needs and requirements
Define project scope, cost estimates, goals and deliverables with collaboration from Munters sales, engineering, production, quality and service groups
Help prepare, review, analyze and support the negotiation of project contracts
Manage project contracts including managing risk of contractual obligations relating to projects
Perform stakeholder management throughout project, by having a high-level understanding of all department roles and responsibilities
Effectively communicate relevant project information to management
Develop equipment/ project scope definition and "turnover" documentation to engineering, production and service for manufacturing and servicing the equipment
Prepare contractual claims including extensions of time, prolongation cost, acceleration cost and all other contractual claims
Host customer visits
Lead effective change order management
Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation as needed for project support
Manage day-to-day aspects of all lithium battery and other large projects
Manage day-to-day client interactions
Provide timely response to all project support requests
Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
Understand basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections
Understand pricing model and billing procedures
Follow-up with clients, when necessary, regarding unpaid invoices
Assure project legal documents are completed and signed on a timely basis
Follow through and review equipment design and fabrication outcomes to ensure equipment cost and profitability are being met
Keep track of lessons learned and share those lessons with management
Travel as needed in support of projects

Job Requirements

Minimum of BS in Project Management, or Engineering related discipline

5+ Years experience in management of multi-million dollar manufacturing projects, with preference given to those with experience specific to HVAC equipment and installation

Full time position, with hybrid work (expectation is 2-3 days/week in Amesbury office)

Strong Communications/Interpersonal Skills

Self-Motivated and Driven

Detail Oriented

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high pressure environment

Strong Computer Skills including - MS-Project, Office. Some experience in CAD would be preferential
