Job Description

Dietary Assistant - .8 FTE, 8 Hours Shift, rotating weekend work, 8 days per per period - Shift time 11:30AM - 8:00PM

Prepares, assembles, portions, displays, serves and/or delivers various accompaniment menu items to produce quality patient, Cafeteria and catering meals. Serves meals to patients in a professional, efficient manner; instructs patients on meal ordering systems; assists patients in placing meal orders; assesses the patients capabilities to utilize the meal ordering system. Maintains work areas and equipment in order to meet sanitation/safety standards as well as par levels for food and supply stock.

Required Qualifications:
  • National Food Handler Card - State County City Authority upon hire.
  • Previous institutional food production experience. upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Health care food service experience desirable.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
