Program Specialist Advanced Behavioral Health, Inc. Base pay range: $46,800.00 $51,480.00 per year. Position Summary The Program Specialist is responsible for recruiting and credentialing Provider Agencies for the Mental Health Waiver. The specialist also manages data collection, recording, and management related to Provider Agencies in the WISE program. The WISE program aims to move individuals with serious mental illness from nursing homes into the community or, for those already in the community, support their continued residence. The program arranges housing, community supports, and ongoing services. ABHs responsibilities include: (1) identifying, credentialing, training, and contracting providers; (2) assisting in program implementation; (3) paying claims; (4) collecting and reporting data; and (5) managing quality improvement. This position represents ABH and its services in a professional and positive manner, adhering to ABHs best practices, guidelines, policies, and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities Assist in outreach and recruitment activities to obtain new Mental Health Waiver Providers. Review and process prospective provider applications and enter data into the tracking system. Provide customer service functions for WISE providers. Monitor the workflow of provider application requests, determinations, and approvals to meet or exceed contractual requirements. Plan and coordinate trainings. Maintain and track the re?credentialing spreadsheet, process paperwork, and schedule site visits. Coordinate with DSS/DXC to maintain Medicaid provider status for ABH and providers. Assist in program implementation and changes. Suggest enhancements to workflow processes, information systems, and other non?personnel processes. Comply with goals established by DSS, DMHAS, and ABH. Maintain internal communications and notify supervisors of relevant client or program information. Attend all required staff, supervision, and training meetings. Maintain confidentiality of protected health information and adhere to HIPAA and 42?CFR related policies. Demonstrate ethical behavior and cultural sensitivity in all interactions with diverse individuals. Perform other tasks or responsibilities as required to support business operations. Requirements Education and Experience Associates Degree in Human Services or a related field (required); Bachelors Degree preferred. One to three years of demonstrated work experience in the behavioral health or home care industry. Completes annual Conflict of Interest training. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health services. Knowledge of community resources in the local region. Understanding of work?efficiency principles. Analytical problem?solving skills. Flexibility to respond quickly and positively to changing demands and change?management opportunities. Experience in project implementation and knowledge of project management, including planning, scheduling, monitoring, problem solving, budget development, and control. Reliable transportation. Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook); internet use.
