* Manage and build relationships with key suppliers of raw materials, sub- assemblies, production equipment, and supplies to ensure a consistent supply of materials to meet operating requirements. * Source and purchase goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets and to KPIs. * Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk of impact on business operations. * Maintain trade compliance data within the system and coordinate policies and procedures with the purchasing team. * Work closely with the Operations and Scheduling teams to ensure all required items are ordered in a timely manner at the most economic quantity and cost to meet production requirements while minimizing inventory exposure at the factory and in the supply chain. * Manage inventory for the components assigned for both the internal plants as well as third party vendors. * Arrange for vendors to drop-ship parts may be required. * Work closely with several other departments within the organization (e.g., Engineering, Quality, Production, NPI, Lab, Warehouse, Accounting, Finance etc.) * Ability to implement supplier partnership models. * Participate in cross-functional project teams * Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain or Business or Technical Discipline * 5+ years purchasing work experience and/or combination development programs and experience * Basic understanding of Procurement or Materials in a manufacturing environment * Demonstrated ERP proficiency, with a focus in process optimization. * Material Requirements Planning experience - understand the flow of materials/signals from MRP/managing inventory. * Basic understanding of Supplier management - managing orders/contracts, sourcing, and negotiation * Project management experience * Continuous Improvement/Process Oriented - Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured problem-solving method. * Strong analytical and data management * Experience in negotiations aimed at cost reduction * Experience in contract and vendor relations management. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization * Demonstrated team player qualities. * Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts, agreements, and procedure manuals * Experience facilitating a cross-functional team through influence and expertise. * Ability to multi- task, prioritize workload and manage under constrained time frames. * High energy and self-motivated * Ability to work in a cross-functional matrix organization and engage with external suppliers in geographically diverse locations. * Strong quality and customer centric focus * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Intermediate: Excel; Basic: Word and PowerPoint) * Power BI Experience * Prior experience in Operations excellence in a procurement * Advanced SQL knowledge - table/view design, stored procedures * VBA Macros Experience * AS400 or Oracle proficiency * CPIM/ APICS/ ISM certification * Medical, Dental, and Vision * 401k Retirement Plan * Flexible Spending * Paid Holidays
