The Construction Accountant's duties include but are not limited to:

  • Weekly accounts payable processing and check runs
  • Job cost tracking and cost allocation
  • Assist with account reconciliations and maintaining project budgets
  • Create purchase orders and assist with subcontracts and change orders
  • Verify vendor checks
  • Provide back-up support to Controller
  • Interact with office staff, subcontractors, vendors, and clients
  • Assist with job site needs such as starting/stopping utilities, obtaining jobsite posters, manage cell phones for superintendents and project managers, etc
  • Other duties and ad hoc requests as assigned

The Construction Accountant's Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • 2+ year's experience
  • Experience with Sage a plus
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to think through problems
  • Able to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently
