Senior Software Engineer - Avionics Simulation (Onsite) Location: Cedar Rapids, IA 400 Collins Rd NE, USA (Onsite) Posted: 2025-10-23 | Travel: 5-10% as needed. What You Will Do Design, develop, and test applications to simulate the behavior of avionics sensors supporting the development and testing of Collins Avionics products. Aid the development team in debugging laboratory issues to determine root cause and propose potential solutions. Effectively interact and network with teammates, management, and customers. Support Program Lead(s) with budget and schedule data for the CSE work on a given program to ensure successful completion of a Collins Avionics program. Work with a team of dedicated engineers to help shape the future of the avionics simulation platform. Qualifications You Must Have Typically requires a degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) and minimum 5 years relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and minimum 3 years experience. Experience with C/C++ programming languages. Experience with Python scripting. Qualifications We Prefer Strong written and oral communication skills. Experience with GUI design/implementation. Experience with C# programming language. Experience with Agile Development Framework (Scrum, sprints, etc.). Familiarity with migrating an application between OS and HW architectures.
