Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 02/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Respiratory Therapist – North Carolina Start Date: February 16, 2026 Location: Winston-Salem, North Carolina Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; 36 or 48 hours per week available; 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule; on-call coverage as needed Highlights: Work in a large respiratory care department practicing at the top of their license across Med/Surg, ICU step-down units, and possibly the Emergency Department Comprehensive case mix including airway management, ventilator management, ABGs, high-flow oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP, and advanced pulmonary care Epic EMR system required; specialized equipment including Servo I, Servo U, Hamilton T1 ventilators, and ABL90 ABG machine 13-week assignment available; local candidates accepted; first-time travelers welcome with 2 years of experience Patient population ranges from adolescents to geriatrics with 35-45 patients per day Float within facility only; black scrubs provided Requirements: Current North Carolina or Compact State respiratory therapy license RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credentials required; CRT not accepted Minimum 2 years of respiratory care experience in ER, Adult ICU, Med/Surg, or ICU/Step-down settings Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Epic EMR experience is mandatory Proficiency in airway management, medication administration, ventilator management, ABGs, oxygen therapy, suctioning, pulmonary toileting, nebulizer treatments, BiPAP, CPAP, vest therapy, meta-neb, PAP therapy, and heated high-flow oxygen NRP certification preferred; bronchoscopy experience a plus Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only) Why It's a Great Opportunity: Join a dynamic respiratory care team that practices at the highest level of clinical excellence, providing advanced respiratory support across multiple critical care environments.
