Energy Engineer

Energy Modeling (HVAC)Job Overview: Boston based company is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in energy modeling for HVAC systems to join our client's rapidly expanding energy and sustainability consulting team. The chosen candidate will play a pivotal role in conducting energy modeling and building analyses for various projects. Key Responsibilities: Perform energy modeling and building analyses using specialized software such as Trane Trace or equivalent. Collect relevant data necessary for energy and cost analysis. Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate modeling and analysis. Provide insights and recommendations based on modeling results to optimize energy efficiency. Adapt to work with diverse property types and possess comprehensive knowledge of HVAC systems. Experience and Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or related field. Demonstrated experience in building energy modeling. Proficiency with a variety of HVAC systems and familiarity with ASHRAE standards and International Energy Code (IECC). Strong report writing, computer, and internet skills. Excellent communication and time management abilities. Capability to meet deadlines and manage projects within budget constraints. Must have over 5 years experience to be considered for this role. Registration as an EIT (Engineer-In-Training) or PE is advantageous.
