Work/Life balance: Day Shift Clinic hours, No weekends, holidays or call time Career Growth opportunities Job Summary The Medical Assistant in the Clinic is accountable for performing duties that assist in care for clinic patients following established standards, practices and competency. Position will mainly support the General Surgery Clinic, but will be cross-trained to other specialty clinic areas. Education and/or Experience Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with an Associates degree or diploma required upon hire. Six or more years in a healthcare setting and/or Medical Assisting Licensure/Certification/Registration Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire. Must be licensed through one of the following upon hire: National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). National Registration as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologist (AMT). National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association. Work Schedule Clinic hours: 8:00am-5:00pm; 64 hours every 2 weeks Pay The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $19.25 - $27.00 per hour What Makes Avera Special?
