Process Engineer

The Process Engineer will work with management to identify new process improvement opportunities in the areas of quality, cost, performance, and preventive and predictive maintenance. The Process Engineer will evaluate and analyze current process metrics and performance to identify areas requiring improvements.Duties and Responsibilities:Analyze and identify opportunities to reduce process variation, improve process capabilities and optimize process performance.Develop process improvement initiatives to increase operational efficiency and productivity.Facilitate the deployment of new and changed processes to provide improved results.Develop standard procedures and policies to be followed by the operation teamTrain and guide resources as needed.Work with various teams to reduce process and business variations.Assist Managers in management for capital projects.Prepare project presentations for management when needed.Review and update business procedures and documents based on project requirementsImplement lean manufacturing principles to the processing to promote improvementsFamiliar with the implementation/utilization of DMAIC, TPM, Kaizen and other tools to facilitate the engagement of department members for sustainabilityMust be dynamic and flexible enough to adapt to fast pace commercialization needs of projects under his/her responsibilityRequirements: BS / BA degree in related field or certificationSix Sigma, Lean, Black, Yellow, and Green Belt CertifiedMinimum 5 years working in multiple manufactory5+ years of experience in the food industry in either product or process development rolesProven experience and ability to communicate and relate to business partners and another cross-functional team is requiredEngage and assist with the assessment, development, implementation and monitoring of the cost saving initiativesExperience in product formulation, process optimization, scale up from bench to pilot plant to plant production, cost savings, shelf life and quality improvements.Produce experience a mustTeam oriented and ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced, multi-disciplinary environment.Strong interpersonal skills, detail oriented and have excellent organizational and analytical skills Work with Project Management and Special Projects as assignedOther Information:The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees, and are not to be construed, as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties and skills required of personnel so classified.
