Duration: 8 Months

35 hours/week

Location: Tampa, FL

Hybrid: Onsite Tue-Thu, Remote M/F

Pay Rate: $30-35/hr

The Planner role is responsible for developing, communicating, and executing demand and supply plans that enable the company to reach financial targets and service levels within assigned product categories. This role works with various cross functional leaders across Merchandising, Planning, General Managers, and Sales to build a demand plan and with Strategic Sourcing, and Purchasing Operations to execute the corresponding supply plan, optimizing vendor manufacturing capacities and domestic inventory. Qualified candidates should be able to transfer knowledge gained through various analysis of the business, identify key signal drivers and adjust future forecasts and strategies accordingly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify shifts and trends in the marketplace by developing and analyzing sales across product assortments with a focus on how it affects the customer demand. Develop reporting and data modeling to support this initiative by team / color / gender / style / customer.
  • Support Senior Planner
  • Use historical sales data to help develop the right style count for assortments to drive productivity.
  • Help develop preseason demand and supply forecasts on 18-24 month rolling calendar. Monitor consumption of forecast and address variances through root cause analysis.
  • Analyze product assortment offered each season and translate into a quantifiable / unitized demand plan. Liaise with Merchandising to quantify changes to product offering and drive inventory productivity.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing, Manufacturing and Purchasing Operations in business planning and performance, consistently delivering strong results and positive vendor and manufacturing experience.
  • Meet or exceed organizational KPIs (inventory ownership, fill rate, inventory turns, stock outs, aging, customer back-orders).
  • Resolve complex inquiries from Sales and Manufacturing Operations, Finance, and General Managers related to planning process, forecasts, and supply strategy.
  • Brief senior leaders on the current and future state of planning initiatives.
  • Adherence to maintaining a high level of data integrity to owned database.
  • Drive results through monthly reconciliation and continuous improvement.

REQUIREMENTS

2+ years of experience in planning, sales analysis, buying, or inventory management

Strong analytical skills with ability to make empowered decisions

Effective in communication, influencing, negotiating, and driving projects to completion

Able to work independently and be self-motivated

Ability to work with various departmental groups

Strong to expert level Excel is required

Understanding of database query tools and demand management software

Passion and knowledge for sports is a plus

Bachelors Degree preferred
