Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Banquet Cook Level 1 for the beautiful Interlocken Hotel

Omni Interlocken Hotel is seeking a Banquet Cook 1 to join our outstanding banquets team This vital role will work closely with the Executive Chef and Culinary Leaders to ensure successful execution of all operations relating to the Banquets department, resulting in high levels of guest satisfaction. This highly motivated individual will provide high quality standards and procedures in preparing/serving all banquet food.

We are looking for motivated and energetic individuals who love contributing to a winning team. If you have culinary banquet experience in a hotel environment, we would love to speak with you about this role.

Salary range for this position (based on experience): $24.00/hour. Omni Interlocken reserves the right to pay more or less than listed compensation scale based on factors not related to sex or race. Full Time Associates at Omni Interlocken are entitled to elect the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and other healthcare benefits, Paid Maternity Leave, 401k and Paid Time Off.

Additional associate benefits offered include golf privileges, discounts at the spa and restaurants, discounted rates at other Omni properties, corporate discounts, continued education opportunities and more.

Responsibilities:

Maintain kitchen sanitation in accordance with health department guidelines
Insure station is set for service 15 minutes prior to service.
Required to learn all menu items produced by assigned station.
Perform work assignments to meet proper quantities within a necessary time frame.
Prepare a mixture of buffet and plated style items
Production of orders to include Grilling, Roasting, and Baking fish, steaks, chicken and shellfish.
Maintain safe food handling procedures at all times

Qualifications:

Advanced Knife skills required
Prior Culinary experience required
Must be familiar with all cooking techniques
Must be familiar with batch and quantity cooking

Ability to multi-task

Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment.

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for the duration of a full-shift.

Flexible availability to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Food Handler Certification required.
