This system will incorporate Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning to match data consumers with repositories, and to monitor system usage.

In this software engineer role, you will be responsible for the initial design, development, deployment, of a minimum viable product. You will use data modeling tools to design, build, optimize, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models. You will also work closely with product management and systems engineering teams to fit their capabilities into the larger direction of the overall system.

*SCIF work will also be required.

As a Software Engineer you will...
Lead the research, design, and development of software applications for a data fabric environment
Develop solutions that automate the integration of disparate data sources and technologies
Define, deploy, and manage next generation data fabric to enable information transparency and data quality across systems
Use data modeling tools to design, build, optimize, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models
Design, create, maintain, and improve the data infrastructure to successfully implement a data fabric in an enterprise framework that automates data discovery
Develop and recommend modern architecture components
Software Engineer Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical degree
Experience with python, open shift, Kubernetes
Experience in full stack development and programming languages (developing codes, scripts, modules, macro procedures, and libraries) and integrating Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software applications, specialized software, or databases
Demonstrated experience in the implementation of data technologies and capabilities such as data fabric, data mesh, data warehouse, data lake, or data lakehouse
Demonstrated experience using, implementing, and directing agile or lean philosophy techniques and delivering MVPs in an agile environment
Experience with graph, NoSQL, SQL, or other relational and non-relational database technologies, with 3+ years’ experience in graph databases
Experience developing integrating external open source micro-services
Additional Skills we‘d like to see:
Have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical degree
Demonstrated experience in full stack development (i.e., open source technologies, Java, Web services, database, and micro-service development)
Demonstrated experience across Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration (CI/CD) techniques, test-driven development, and automated testing practices
Demonstrated experience enhancing data fabric architectures to support new features, implementing data fabric governance, and improving the performance and scalability of data fabric
Demonstrated experience in Big Data solutions, data integration, business analytics, AI/ML, or simulation analytics
Demonstrated experience with one or more leading cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services, Azure, and Google Cloud
