We offer a competitive benefits package to our employees which includes: M/D/V, matching 401k, and other benefits.Job Description - BEAR Utilities (Water/Plumbing) Specialist must be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the Utilities Systems field and capable of developing and verifying effective solutions to identified equipment and material deficiencies on new systems being evaluated. Must be capable of providing technical support and administrative assistance in the review and assessment of BEAR Base technical support requirements included in the operation and support plans, programming plans, acquisition plans, evaluation plans and design document/data, provisioning documents, etc. Be capable of preparing for meetings and presentations to include data gathering, evaluation and the preparation of background papers, staff studies, and/or presentation materials intended to recommend a course of action, strategy, report status or progress. Knowledgeable in writing background papers, staff summaries, presentation materials, etc. related to the technical design and operation of Utility Systems. A valid state driver's license is required.Job Responsibilities:Must be the SME in all aspects of the water systems field, to include installing, removing, operating, maintaining, and repairing water production, distribution and wastewater collection systems.Extensive knowledge of plumbing, water, wastewater, fire suppression and backflow prevention system requirements/standards, inspection requirements, recurring maintenance programs, and seasonal overhaul on systems and components is mandatory.Requires ability to troubleshoot malfunctions and to read and use drawings and schematics to analyze and isolate system malfunctions and modify equipment for specific missions or to increase efficiency.Qualifications:Must have high-school diploma or above with technical training aligned with position requirementsA minimum of 4 years' experience and job knowledge is required with Basic Expeditionary Airfield Resource (BEAR) Base Systems.Extensive knowledge of systems integration and equipment is paramount.BEAR Base Utilities Systems equipment includes but is not limited to the Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Unit (ROWPU), Latrine, Field Deployable (LFD), Shower/Shave units, Self-Help Laundry, Expandable BiCon Shelter Hygiene System, numerous pumps and the 3K, 10K, and 20K bladders.Individual must be knowledgeable of the BEAR UTCs to include: Initial Water Distribution System, Follow-On, Shower/Shave Latrine, 1500 Water Production, Self-Help Laundry, Source Run, Water Extension and the new Expandable BiCon Shelter Hygiene System.Additional information:Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a DoD security clearance.Proficient in MS Office Suite of Tools, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPointMust Possess excellent communications skillsCandidate must be able to pass security background check.
