This role is an in office role in our San Francisco office at 425 Divisadero St. ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking to onboard a Senior Software Engineer to join our expanding team. You will become an integral part of our agile engineering organization, taking on a role that comes with high expectations, significant autonomy, and a strong sense of responsibility. You'll be well-supported to excel in a dynamic environment focused on engineering innovative products for our TMS software, which serves hard working Americans and has a real impact within the industry. In this role, you'll work alongside our Product and Design and Product Engineers to ship user-facing applications. We have new product launches on the horizon and we'd love to share more with you in a call. SOME THINGS YOU MAY BE WORKING ON Implement automated order entry and document ingestion through OCR and LLM's. Establish data integrations with major freight forwarders, enhancing the shipper experience. Enhance the functionality of our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to cater to the intricate needs of larger customers, focusing on features such as intelligent picking and automatic warehouse design. Spearhead the development of an integrated general ledger to provide detailed, industry-specific financial reports on operational processes. This includes offering insights into driver profitability, lane profitability, truck expenses, cash flow position based on outstanding work, and more. Lead the development of a sophisticated dispatching screen, enabling dispatchers to efficiently collaborate with on-road drivers, optimize complex backend routes, and provide turn-by-turn instructions. Engage as a fullstack engineer within our tech stack, which comprises Javascript (React, React Native, Typescript), Node, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, and AWS. Collaborate with a dynamic team of 15-20 engineers, embracing ample opportunities for professional growth and contributing to significant 0-1 product initiatives. YOU HAVE 5+ years of Software Engineering experience Prior startup engineering experience Experience with React, TypeScript, and a modern product engineering stack is highly desirable Experience building and shipping strong code with an emphasis on quality, maintainability, and exceptional end products. An understanding of web technologies and excel in crafting large-scale web applications with a product-centric mindset. A curiosity that drives you to continuously create and enhance elegant, user-friendly products that resonate with our customers.
