Job Title: LMS Specialist

Location: Houston TX 77002

Onsite Requirements:

  • Cornerstone LMS Customization experience
  • Learning Management System Administration experience
  • Instructional Design or Training Management

Key Responsibilities:

LMS System Setup and Configuration:

  • Lead the setup and configuration of Cornerstone LMS, ensuring it meets the specific needs of the organization.
  • Work closely with IT and HR teams to ensure seamless integration of the LMS with other HR systems and data sources.
  • Set up Operations competencies within the LMS, aligning them with business objectives and operational roles.
  • Implement dynamic assignment criteria to ensure that learning materials and paths are automatically adjusted based on user roles, performance, and development needs.
  • Assist in updating and developing basic Computer Based Training content and facilitating development of more complex CBT's through a third party.

LMS Administration:

  • Serve as the organization-wide expert for the Learning Management System (LMS), specifically Cornerstone LMS, overseeing its functionality and system integrity.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the LMS, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity.
  • Maintain and develop LMS procedures, training resources, and user guides, including the management of frequently asked questions.
  • Oversee the integration and assignment of content within the LMS, ensuring that learning content is added, tested, and correctly assigned to users.
  • Collaborate with Operations training teams to design and implement structured learning paths and dynamic assignments based on specific roles and competencies.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, attendance, and evaluations.
  • Support the management of LMS updates, including system enhancements and routine maintenance.
  • Generate and manage reports and data inquiries to support business needs.
  • Offer prompt support to users, resolving first-level technical issues.
  • Contribute to regulatory and compliance audit preparations through effective data management and reporting.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Education Technology, HR, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in LMS administration, preferably with Cornerstone LMS.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design, e-learning standards, and educational technology.
  • Experience in setting up and managing operational competencies within an LMS environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret and manage data.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and capacity to handle technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with various teams across the organization.

Desirable Skills:

  • Project management experience, especially related to technology implementation.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards affecting training in specific industries.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for resolving complex LMS issues.
