The company operates as an independent boutique, currently owned by a leading global asset management firm. With a global presence, including offices in Luxembourg, Singapore, London, New York, and Denmark, the team is composed of 70 professionals worldwide, with a small, close-knit team of 8 based in Luxembourg. Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Head of Luxembourg / Managing Director to oversee and manage the day-to-day operational activities of the Luxembourg office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the asset management industry, particularly in fund management and operations, with a deep understanding of the regulatory and operational landscape in Luxembourg and cross-border fund structures. This role offers broad responsibilities, providing leadership and oversight across multiple functions, including custodianship, transfer agency (TA), and broader operational management. Understand and manage the intricacies of cross-border fund structures, including the unique setup and registration of funds in different countries. Provide hands-on management and oversight of the Luxembourg team, helping them navigate complex fund structures and processes. Collaborate with internal teams globally, including the parent company, and maintain strong communication channels. Demonstrate a solution-oriented approach to any operational or regulatory challenges that arise. Lead and support a professional yet informal culture, promoting collaboration, transparency, and quick decision-making. Be a trusted point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders in the Luxembourg office. Assist in strategic decisions, contributing to the company's growth and evolution in the private debt sector, a rapidly growing area within the firm's portfolio. Required Qualifications: Strong experience in the asset management industry, particularly with Luxembourg fund management operations. Experience managing or overseeing a team in a management company (Manco) or similar operations function. Deep understanding of the Luxembourg regulatory environment. Strong management skills, with a hands-on, practical approach to overseeing day-to-day operations. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on teamwork and transparency. Ability to take broad ownership of operational functions and adapt to a fast-moving, decision-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications: Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus, particularly French or German). Previous experience working in a boutique investment management firm or in a smaller, agile team. Knowledge of Luxembourg tax and regulatory frameworks for investment management. #J-18808-Ljbffr
