SENIOR TRIAL PARALEGAL

JOB DESCRIPTION: Singleton Schreiber, LLP is seeking an experienced, organized, critical thinking Senior Trial Paralegal with eDiscovery experience to join our Trial team. This position is fast paced, supports a team of attorneys performing regular litigation in state and federal courts, and will involve collaboration with other paralegal and assistants.

This position is based in San Diego but can be performed remotely for candidates on the West Coast, with a strong preference for those in California.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:

$48.00-$58.00/hour

Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.

Job duties will include:
  • Assisting attorneys with all aspects of case management and trial preparation, including document organization, witness preparation, developing case facts and strategies, exhibit management, and handling tasks from pre-litigation to post-trial motions.
  • Acting as a key support member during trial, managing exhibits, logistics, and courtroom technology.
  • Providing post-trial assistance, including preparing settlement documentation and organizing final case materials.
  • Utilizing advanced proficiency with eDiscovery platforms such as Relativity and second-generation discovery tools (e.g., Logikcull, Everlaw, Disco).
  • Managing electronic information, including document review, organization, and production tasks such as bates-stamping, scanning, coding, and complex litigation searches.
  • Preparing and running document productions; executing searches for investigations, depositions, and trial preparation; liaising with forensic document collection vendors; and maintain document collection and production logs in project plans.
  • Overseeing calendaring of deadlines and draft pleadings.
  • Completing multi-jurisdictional court filings, ensuring compliance with legal procedures and court rules.
  • Coordinating with expert witnesses, clients, vendors, and opposing counsel during case preparation and trial.
  • Qualifications and Requirements
  • 7+ years of paralegal experience in mass/complex litigation.
  • Significant trial preparation and courtroom experience.
  • Possession of a paralegal certificate or compliance with Bus. & Prof. Code § 6450 requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in:
    • Adobe, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
    • eDiscovery tools (e.g., Relativity, Everlaw, Exterro, Logikcull).
    • Document management systems and Legal software (e.g., Lexis, CaseMap, TrialDirector, Sharefile, PACER, CaseAnywhere, Smart Advocate, FileVine).
  • Detail-oriented, organized, team player who is reliable and capable of multitasking and managing several time-critical projects under tight deadlines.
