This role involves managing all aspects of trauma and acute care surgery patient care, including inpatient rounds, trauma activations, ACS consults, and post-operative clinic responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Manage all facets of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery patient care during on-call shifts. Manage elective general surgery consults and schedule cases during back-up shifts. Requirements Board Certification in General Surgery. Experience in trauma and acute care surgery. Ability to work 24-hour shifts and respond promptly to activations and consults. Strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Medical malpractice coverage, including tail coverage. Economy airfare for one round-trip per month for shifts at Rideout Adventist Hospital. Comfortable accommodations provided, including options for a call house or hotel stay. 401K with employer match. Health and dental insurance. Disability insurance. $2,500 annual CME and licensing allowance. Only 84 on-call shifts and 72 back-up days required annually for full-time status.
