The Training Manager will identify, develop, and monitor operational training needs at the Butler, IN campus by enhancing employee skills, improving performance, increasing productivity and retention, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. You will develop best practices within the steel service center industry and coordinate training for all production-related positions to the work standards. Buy overseeing the training initiatives, you will play a vital role in driving employee growth and ensuring the achievement of being "Best in Class."

•Vetting trainers and monitors their performance.

•Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

•Reviews and develops training programs to search for gaps in training content and materials that need updating to generate higher productivity and safety among team members; makes enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of the workforce or the industry.

•Resolves any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary.

•Maintains a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices and training requirements applicable to the company and/or industry.

•Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments that training could improve.

•Conducts or facilitates required and recommended training sessions.

•Collaborates with vendors and third-party training providers to arrange employee registration for and participation in outside training programs.

•Ensures that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved training budget.

•Prepares and implements training budget.

•Must keep diligent records for compliance purposes.

•Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

•Excellent leadership and motivational skills.

•Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.

•Thorough understanding of training processes.

•Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.

•Extremely organized and detail-oriented.

•Good collaboration and teamwork skills.

•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

•3-5 years' experience as a supervisor within a manufacturing environment.

•Bachelor's degree in supervision, education, or relevant field preferred.
