Essential Job Duties:

- Collaborates with team members in preparing the operating room utilizing principles of sterile technique to provide a clean and safe environment.
- Analyzes collected data to formulate a plan of care that contributes to high quality and safe outcomes.
- Assists the healthcare team by being fiscally responsible in the ordering of supplies and items necessary for departmental operations.
- Communicates with healthcare team any inventory, equipment or instrument needs to ensure department efficiency.
- Contributes to a high performance work environment by seeking educational resources that enhance and maintain current knowledge and skills.
- Performs other duties as assigned or requested
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of accredited surgical technician program. Certification in Surgical Technology preferred. Otherwise must demonstrate competence as described in Indiana Code concerning professions and occupations.
- Licensure: Not applicable, certification recommended.
- Experience: Previous hospital or healthcare experience, clinical experience.
